At Lady Divine Orphanage and Charity Foundation, we rely on the kindness and generosity of volunteers to help us achieve our mission of providing support and care to orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as widows and senior citizens. Available Volunteer Roles
- Childcare Volunteers: Assist our caregivers in providing daily care and support to our children, including feeding, bathing, and playing with them.
- Teaching Assistants: Support our teachers in providing educational instruction and activities to our children, including homework help and tutoring.
- Administrative Volunteers: Assist our administrative team with tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.
- Event Planners: Help us plan and execute events, such as fundraising campaigns, charity runs, and community outreach programs.
- Mentorship Program Volunteers: Provide guidance and support to our children and young adults, helping them to develop life skills and achieve their goals.
- Healthcare Volunteers: Assist our healthcare team in providing medical care and support to our children and beneficiaries, including administering medication and providing basic first aid.

How to Become a Volunteer

- Complete the Volunteer Application Form: Once you’ve identified a position that resonates with you, fill out our Volunteer Application Form. As part of your application, we kindly ask that you support our mission by purchasing an item from our Gifts and Merchandise collection. This not only helps fund our initiatives but also allows you to showcase your commitment to our cause.
- Attend an Orientation Program: After your application is received, you’ll be invited to participate in an LDOCF orientation program tailored for new volunteers. This session will provide you with valuable insights into our organization, its mission, and what to expect as a volunteer. It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and ask any questions you may have.
- Participate in an Interview: Following the orientation, our LDOCF staff will conduct an interview with you. International Volunteers:
We welcome international volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and adults. As an international volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Gain valuable experience and skills in a developing country
- Immerse yourself in Nigerian culture and learn about the local way of life
- Make a meaningful contribution to our programs and services
- Develop new friendships and connections with our staff and beneficiaries
Requirements for International Volunteers:
- Age: 18 years and above
- Language: English (fluency in Nigerian languages is an asset)
- Qualifications: Relevant skills and experience in the area of volunteering
- Commitment: Minimum of 2 weeks to 6 months
- Visa: International volunteers are responsible for obtaining their own visa and ensuring they comply with Nigerian immigration regulations
- Vaccinations: International volunteers are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary vaccinations before arriving in Nigeria
- Insurance: International volunteers are responsible for obtaining their own health and travel insurance
Accommodation and Support:
We provide accommodation for international volunteers in a safe and comfortable environment. Our staff will also provide support and guidance throughout your stay, including orientation, cultural immersion, and assistance with logistics.
