Sponsor a child
You have the power to make a difference. By donating your old books, textbooks, or any school supplies, you can help us support children in need—those from low-income families who deserve the tools for a bright future.
Alternatively, consider giving a heartfelt gift of at least 2000 Naira. With your contribution, we can provide a child with essential books and writing materials for an entire academic term.
How to Become a Volunteer
Volunteering is an essential way to make a meaningful impact in the community, and at the Lady Divine Orphanage and Charity Foundation (LDOCF), we greatly value the contributions of our volunteers. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities that can be pursued both remotely and in person, ensuring that our activities are conducted safely while adhering to COVID-19 precautions.
If you’re interested in joining us, follow these detailed steps:
- Explore Our Volunteer Opportunities: Start by browsing through the diverse range of volunteer positions available at LDOCF. Each role is designed to match various skills and interests, providing a rewarding experience and a chance to make a difference.
- Complete the Volunteer Application Form: Once you’ve identified a position that resonates with you, fill out our Volunteer Application Form. As part of your application, we kindly ask that you support our mission by purchasing an item from our Gifts and Merchandise collection. This not only helps fund our initiatives but also allows you to showcase your commitment to our cause.
- Attend an Orientation Program: After your application is received, you’ll be invited to participate in an LDOCF orientation program tailored for new volunteers. This session will provide you with valuable insights into our organization, its mission, and what to expect as a volunteer. It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and ask any questions you may have.
- Participate in an Interview: Following the orientation, our LDOCF staff will conduct an interview with you. This conversation will help us understand your motivations, skills, and how you can best contribute to our organization. It’s also a chance for you to learn more about our team and the specific role you’re interested in.
- Complete a Background Check: As part of our commitment to safety and the well-being of those we serve, all volunteers are required to undergo a background check. This step ensures that we maintain a secure environment for the children and community members we support.
By following these steps, you will be well on your way to joining the LDOCF family and making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. We look forward to welcoming you as a volunteer!
